About

K-State's Computer Science K-8 Coding Contest invites curious kids from kindergarten through eighth grade to campus for a day of hands-on discovery. Guided by K-State students and faculty, participants explore coding, logic and technical thinking through creative challenges, games and problem-solving activities. The event builds confidence, teamwork and resilience while showing children that computer science is fun, welcoming and within reach.

Your support helps keep the contest low- or no-cost, expand access to rural and underrepresented students and create an early sense of belonging at K-State. Together, we can spark a lifelong interest in computing and inspire future Wildcats when it is time for their formal education.
