For generations of Kansas State fans, Greg Sharpe's voice brought Wildcat memories to life.
A proud K-State graduate, Greg turned his passion for sports and storytelling into an award-winning broadcasting career, serving as the voice of the Kansas State Wildcats and later the voice of the Nebraska Huskers. Along the way, he was named Sportscaster of the Year in both Kansas and Nebraska and was inducted into the Kansas Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
His legacy lives on through the Greg Sharpe Sports Broadcasting Scholarship, which supports students pursuing degrees in news and sports media at Kansas State University.
In honor of Greg's life and impact, Stan Weber, Greg's longtime K-State broadcasting partner and friend, has established a $20,000 matching gift to support the scholarship. Advisors Excel has provided an additional $20,000 matching gift, inspired by Greg's wife, Amy Sharpe, a television and radio host with Advisors Excel. Together, these matching gifts will triple the impact of contributions made through this campaign.
Every gift helps students follow Greg's example by developing the skills to tell compelling stories, cover the games they love and connect audiences through the power of sports.
Make your gift today and help the next generation of sports media professionals turn their passion into a career while carrying Greg Sharpe's legacy forward.
