In Bello Horizonte, families face unsafe sanitation and seasonal flooding that worsens health risks. Every household surveyed expressed dissatisfaction with current facilities. Engineers Without Borders at K-State is taking action by building sustainable, flood-resistant latrines, each costing about $1,200.
